Year 8 Work Shadowing – Wednesday 20 July

At the moment, 25 students have accepted the chance to take part in a ‘Work-Shadowing’ experience, observing a professional to gain a better understanding of the role.

With the agreement of employers, students can shadow a family member in their workplace through the Work Shadowing Day: Wednesday 20 July.   Students will be provided with a short activity to complete relating to their placement and it will be sent to them via their school email account.

If you would like your child to participate in the Work Shadowing Day on Wednesday 20 July 2022, please complete the online Parent/Carer Consent Form (https://forms.gle/mWQ4zZZzG7ivunZGA).  Your child will have to log into Google to access the form.  Please work on completing the form together.  The deadline for completing the Consent Form will be Friday 15 July 2022.

New TSAS Careers Logo

The Careers Team are very proud to present their brand new logo – designed by Oliver Ayers in Year 9, in collaboration with Aria Ryan in Year 12.

A big congratulations to Oliver Ayers for winning the Careers Logo competition! We would like to thank Oliver for his hard work on this fantastic design.

We would also like to thank Aria Ryan for using their creativity and graphic design skills to work with Oliver to bring his design to life! A huge well done to both students.

Look out for the Careers logo around school, on the newsletter, and on our school website for all things Careers. You can also follow the Careers Team on Twitter at @tsascareers

Future Jobs Survey

Given that Covid restrictions are beginning to ease, the school is being approached by employers asking if they can come into school to talk to students about future Career opportunities.

With this in mind, we’d like to ask students about their possible future plans using this survey: https://forms.gle/uGLWwYgy9QUErtgJ6.  It doesn’t matter if students are unsure as yet.

If students could complete the survey by 31 March, we can then begin to consider plans for visitors coming into school, and publicise events to the school community.

If you have any questions, please email the Careers Team (careersadvice@yare-edu.org.uk).
